Feni, Noakhali and Laksmipur upazila are facing one of the worst floods in last 35 years. These places are located in the downstream area. Upstream areas which are located in India are facing heavy rainfall. Hence, India opened Dumbur Dam without giving any notification to Bangladesh causing a flash flood which ended up taking hundreds of lives. The death toll is rising as there is no sign of decreasing the water. Moreover, in some places the water level is rising upto 25 ft.

Saving the lives of the 350,000 people trapped by the water in the townships in three Upazilas in the district has become the main priority. Flood victims say they have never seen such intense flooding. The situation is continuing to deteriorate as nearly 95 percent of the Fulgazi, Parshuram, and Chagalnaiya Upazilas are under water.

As all the 350,000 people are effected, every one is victim here. We can buy/hire boats to rescue them. At the same time cash money, purified water and biscuits can come handy. Cash is good because the rescued people can purchase whatever they need in this situation. The survey would not take more than one day. Actually, every single person in that area are suffering and would meet beneficiary selection criteria due to this havoc.We want to start implementing the project as soon as possible. If it is from tomorrow, then it is better.
